Little Tag Book Of Inspirational Quotes

Hi Everyone A Little Creation for Scrap Of You Life Design Team Inspiration.

I have created my very first tiny tiny tiny tag book. I have never created one this small before . It was fun and easily put together. I used the wonderful new Artsy Arabia By Art By Marlene and Do Craft Mini Tag Book. My Own String from my Stash . Some Art By Marlene Quotes and Words. Art By Marlene Stencil Artsy Arabia. Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon. Art By Marlene Stamps. Book Binding tape. Pintor Paint Pens and Wink Of Stella.

I stamped the Pattern Paper Artsy Arabia with the flower stamp using Black Archival Ink. I did this on both sides of the patterned paper.  I cut the pattern paper sheet in half and worked on both sides, sticking the tags onto the pattern paper. I cut them out with my scissors. And re-punched the holes.

Distress the edges with the Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide. I cut some pieces of cardstock for the binding of the little book. I cut these the length from the straight edge on the tags. I then scored a fold down the centre of each piece. Next i adhered a tag to each side of the fold.

I did this in pairs of two. For the next step i placed adhesive on the back of one of the tags and began to join them together.
I then bound the book together with some book binding tape, or you could use washi tape ( make sure it is wide enough). Next i put my front and back tag onto the mini book.

Next i used my paint pens to fill in some of the areas on the pattern paper and stamped image. I then added my Die-Cuts and Quotes. I finished off with threading some string through the holes in the top of the tags and tied in a bow. And it is finished.

I hope you enjoy creating your own Mini Tag Book.

Happy Moments Layout for Scrap Of Your Life DT

Good Afternoon to you all. This is a 12 x 12 Layout for my Design Team Work for Scrap Of You Life for the end of October. I hope you enjoy this quick step by step tutorial. And a little added bonus.

For this layout i had very limited supplies, so i really had to put on my thinking cap. I had 1 sheet of pattern paper, and a few embellishment die cuts.

For this layout i pressed a plastic lunch bag into some Dina Wakley Turquoise Gloss Spray, then pressed around the white cardstock to create my background.

TIP: I RAN MY PAGE THROUGH MY LAMINATOR ON THE COLD SETTING, WHICH FLATTEN MY CARDSTOCK BACKGROUND: Awesome 😃

Next i applied Distress Ink: Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet over the All and Create Diamond Stencil.

Next i applied Black Archival Ink to my All and Create Bold Alphas Stamp, and stamped over the stencil, pushing the stamp into the diamond gaps on the stencil. This looked really cool when i lifted off the stencil. 👍

Next i kept the stencil on the page and ran a white marker around the inside edges of the larger diamonds.

Next i Cut around the pattern on the Vicki Boutin All Good Things Pattern Paper. I then cut this into pieces for my photo matting. I used the reverse side of one piece and applied the Turquoise Gloss Spray with a sponge.

I then adhered my photo and embellishments onto the page.

I finished off by doodling : stitching lines, wavy lines and dots with markers.

I added my title and some washi tape from All and Create from my stash.

While creating my page i added left over ink and mediums to a piece of Art Journal Paper to add to my journal.

Thank you for watching my process in creating this lovely page of my grandson.

Handsome: Steampunk Safari By Uniquely Creative.

I created this page using the New Steampunk Safari Collection by Uniquely Creative.

These papers and ephemera are absolutely gorgeous and i had heaps of fun using them. Here is a step by step tutorial if you would like to follow along and create your own Layout.

Handsome Swagger.

I began my page water colour blue paint. I then splattered and drew with the Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays in Ocean and Turquoise.

I then applied the Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn over the Uniquely Creative Leaf Stencil.

Next i cut my paper stack using the script pattern paper, then applying the Turquoise and Ocean Ink to the vellum and pattern papers. I stapled them together then stuck to the page.

I then attached my photo with thick cardboard, so i could tuck my fussy cut elements underneath the photo and pattern papers.

Next i painted the laser cut wood cogs and the metal cogs with black paint, and allowed to dry, then i applied the Prima Opal Magic Wax in, Green Brocade, Turquoise Satin, and Mystic Turquoise, by rubbing them and buffing with some paper towel. They look pretty awesome in real life.

I then placed my Ephemera, and cogs and title words onto my layout and stuck down in place when satisfied with the placement.

I then finished off with some doodling lines to frame the layout, and a little journaling underneath the photo. I hope you enjoy creating this layout and would love some feeback and pics of your creation.

DREAM AWAY

DESIGNED BY MARION WERREN

SCRAP OF YOU LIFE DT MEMBER

MINTAY PATTERN PAPER PACK  AND EMBELLISHMENTS

MARINA.

WOW....... I love these papers, they are thick and hold up to the mediums really well. And i absolutely love the design.

PRODUCTS I HAVE USED
A FEW INSTRUCTIONS:  I did record this but when i looked at the video the ceiling light in my craft room put an orange glow on my video so i can't use it. But i will  walk you through the steps the best way i can. I am only new to this tech, so i am finding my way bit by bit. STEP 1: I have torn the white crackle paper down the left hand side. Stuck it to the yacht paper on the left and another piece on the top right and some of the torn off piece down on the bottom left. I then turned up the torn edges for a rough edge look. STEP 2:I placed my 4" x 6" photo onto some of the pattern papers and cut out a photo stack which i stapled together. I do this so i can slip embellishments underneath the edges. STEP 3: I pre-cut my embellishments from the die cut elements sheet: the bottles, tags. lighthouse, shells etc. STEP 4: I painted my title chipboard " Dream Away" with white gesso, then tapped out some of the Nuvo Shimmer Powder over the top and spritzed with some water. STEP 5: I also cut out the large bottle with the lighthouses from the pattern paper. NOW TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER. STEP 1: Stick the bottle pattern paper on the left hand side with some packaging cardboard or foam mounting tape. STEP 2: Stick the photo to the photo paper stack and stick onto the right side of the bottle. Half of the photo stack will be with double sided tape on the right and the left side with foam tape. this balance the photo. STEP 3: Next I scraped gel medium underneath the photo and the  bottle. Then i sprinkle over the stones with a spoon. Patt down with a flat spatular. When it dries some will drop off but that is ok, There should still be  plenty left on there. The stones have a lot of different coloured grains and work perfectly with these Marina Mintay Paper. STEP 4: Next  stick the little lighthouse with foam tape on the right of the photo and the yacht cut out beside the lighthouse. STEP 5: Stick all the other embellishments: Starfish, Shells and flower around the bottom of the photo. STEP 6: Stick the bottle cut outs by tucking them underneath the photo stack. STEP 7: Next i used the Distress Oxide Faded Jeans with a sponge and highlighted areas of the page, concentrating on the bottle . STEP 8: I then chose a few water colour pencils, Red, Blue Denim, black and an muted orange shades, and highlighted the embellishents. On the shells, around the photo. On the yachts and around the bird. This made them pop a little more. AND YOUR PAGE IS COMPLETE. If you have any questions feel free to ask me and i am sure i can help you. Be Safe , Be Happy and most of all Create xxxxx

Christmas Layout

Hi Everyone this is my last project for the Christmas In July Event.

Unfortunately i was unable to put up this video for this page. But i can give you a run through of how i created the page.

I started by choosing my papers and ephemera, stamps and stencils.
I then applied some clear gesso to the background paper, this helps to give the paper some tooth for any mediums you put on top so it doesn't soak through.

I then cut out my papers and stapled them together.

I placed my photos onto patterned paper, tore around the edges, then stitched with green cotton, then inked the edges.

I placed my paper arrangement onto the page and penciled in  a few marks around the design.

I then  scraped Light gold paste through the stencil in various places around the frame. Then i adhered my paper stack in place.

I also made a frame from the pattern paper and stitched and inked this as well. I place this over the paper stack before the photos.

Next i placed my photos down with foam mounting tape.

I then Die Cut and Stamped my title, Inked the edges and adhered to the page.

I used a splatter stencil and applied Light Moulding Paste around the page.

I also applied Ranger  Vermillion Red Ink to the stencilled circles.

I stamped out a cute Reindeer and placed on my page with foam mounting tape.

I hope this gives you some idea of what i have done to create the page.
Thank You For Looking and happy creating Marion xxxx

Christmas Beach Day

Christmas Beach Day Pages.
Hi everyone i have created some pages in my Christmas Memory Journal.  Below is the step by step instructions on how i did these. There is also some instructions on how i created the Handmade Papers to use in my journal.

PRODUCTS USED: Kaisercraft Peppermint Kisses Pattern Papers and Die-cuts. Let It Snow Pattern Papers and Die-cuts. Christmas Washi Tapes. Handmade papers designed by myself.

STEP 1: Start by choosing your pattern papers.
STEP 2:  I gather together my papers i have chosen and hold my photo over them. Moove the papers around until i am happy with the my choices. I then cut the papers to size and staple them together to hold them in place.
STEP 3: Next i stick my photos to turquoise  cardstock and cut  out a border. Then stick the photos to the pattern paper pieces with foam mounting tape, or i use cardboard from my packaging. I like to use this as it is more sturdier for larger items.

STEP 4: I want to use a little more of the darker turquoise in the photos, so i have mixed some dark turquoise brusho with water and splattered on the background papers. Make sure you cover your photo with some paper so the splatters don't get on your photos.
STEP 5: Pick your embellishments, tags, etc for the pages. And stick these down, some with foam mounting tape, some flat.
STEP 6:  Add some Washi Tape. Then draw some fake stitching lines to frame the page.

I hope you have enjoyed creating you pages for the album, here is another pic of some other pages i have created for the journal I can not wait to add more and finish my 2019 Christmas Memory Journal.

Hand Made Papers To Use In Your Memory Journal.

PRODUCTS USED:  Silver Paint. Silver Glitter. Mont Marte Light Moulding Paste. Stencil: Script and Unknown name. Silver Round Confetti. Geli Printing Plate. White Photo Copy Paper. Brayer.

I love making hand made papers, but i also love the paper choices we can buy there are some amazing Patterned Papers on the Market these days.

STEP 1: I applied some light turquoise paint to a geli plate with a brayer.
STEP 2: I then placed a piece of copy paper over the top and lifted off a paint print, i repeated this again a couple of times. This will give you a few pieces to work with.  If you want more paper repeat the same process with the same colour or using another colour such as i have used some Red Paint for some other colour choices i will pop a picture up at the end of the tutorial.

STEP 3: Next i have applied some white paint to the geli plate, and placed a poinsettia stencil on top. My stencil is small and a much larger stencil would have been better. I used some copy paper over the stencil to remove some of the paint, and repeat across the geli plate.
STEP 4:  I placed my previous turquoise print over the white print on the geli plate and lifted to make another print. You can probably get a few more prints from the geli plate on your other prints.

Pretty isn't it.
STEP 5:  For the next step mix together some Light Moulding Paste and silver paint, and apply through the stencil. Do this on various places on the paper. While the paste is still wet sprinkle over some silver glitter to bling it up. Allow to dry.

STEP 6: Scrape some Light Moulding Paste Through a script stencil over the page in various places. Allow to dry.

STEP 7: Use the same stencil you used for the silver moulding paste, and apply some Ranger Archival Ink in a Dark Blue  to various places on the paper.
STEP 8: Stick Silver Confetti Circles all over the page with gel medium. The draw circles around the silver confetti with your favourite white pen. This seems like a lot of work, but it comes together quite quickly and if you do multiple papers at a time it is better.

Here are some pics of a red and gold version
