A New Project For August SOYL Dt

 Today Is A Perfect Day

Products: Cardstock Kaisercraft White. Pretty Little Studio 6 x 6 Paper Stack " Dream Big" Pretty Little Studio Word " Today" . Pretty Little Studio Tags "Dream Big".Hearts Wood " Lara's Craft". Stencil" Bee Arty". Label Maker Stickers " Home & Co". Ink: Ranger Distress " Mermaid Lagoon" "Pickled Raspberry". Nuvo Shimmer Powder " Blue Blitz", Solar Flare". Stamp " Kaisercraft " Make A Wish" Tiffany Blue Paint. Gesso, Glue.

For this project i decided to create a Single and Project Life Page.

How i created my page.
I started by choosing my photos. Patterned Paper and Embellishments.
I Used Ranger Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon and Pickled Raspberry through a Bee Arty Stencil Around the page. Next i Cut my pattern papers to size for the pockets. I then also applied the ink through the stencil onto the Pattern Papers Pieces as before. Inked around the pattern paper pieces with then Mermaid Lagoon, both on the project life papers and the photo stack.

Next i mixed together some Nuvo Shimmer Powder Blue Blitz with some water and splattered over the single page and pocket pages. I painted the "Today " Title with Tiffany Blue Paint. I then painted the wooden hearts with white gesso. Once dried i sprayed with the Nuvo Shimmer Powder Blue Blitz. I touch the white areas on the hearts with the Ranger Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon.

Next i stamped out the butterflies from the Kaiser Make A Wish onto scraps of Pattern Paper. Then Die cut them on the bigshot. I mixed some Nuvo Shimmer Powder  Solar Flare with some water and painted onto some spots on the butterflies.

Next I set up all my embellishments onto my Single Page, and stuck photo to my photo stack with cardboard, then i began to stick everything down  onto the Single Page  and project life pocket pages.

To Finish off i Placed Words and Phrases onto tags, hearts and photos. I doodled around the photo stack pattern papers and around the project life pages with a blue marker.  I also embellished with some enamel shapes.

MINTAY PATTERN PAPER PACK  AND EMBELLISHMENTS

MARINA.

WOW....... I love these papers, they are thick and hold up to the mediums really well. And i absolutely love the design.

PRODUCTS I HAVE USED
A FEW INSTRUCTIONS:  I did record this but when i looked at the video the ceiling light in my craft room put an orange glow on my video so i can't use it. But i will  walk you through the steps the best way i can. I am only new to this tech, so i am finding my way bit by bit. STEP 1: I have torn the white crackle paper down the left hand side. Stuck it to the yacht paper on the left and another piece on the top right and some of the torn off piece down on the bottom left. I then turned up the torn edges for a rough edge look. STEP 2:I placed my 4" x 6" photo onto some of the pattern papers and cut out a photo stack which i stapled together. I do this so i can slip embellishments underneath the edges. STEP 3: I pre-cut my embellishments from the die cut elements sheet: the bottles, tags. lighthouse, shells etc. STEP 4: I painted my title chipboard " Dream Away" with white gesso, then tapped out some of the Nuvo Shimmer Powder over the top and spritzed with some water. STEP 5: I also cut out the large bottle with the lighthouses from the pattern paper. NOW TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER. STEP 1: Stick the bottle pattern paper on the left hand side with some packaging cardboard or foam mounting tape. STEP 2: Stick the photo to the photo paper stack and stick onto the right side of the bottle. Half of the photo stack will be with double sided tape on the right and the left side with foam tape. this balance the photo. STEP 3: Next I scraped gel medium underneath the photo and the  bottle. Then i sprinkle over the stones with a spoon. Patt down with a flat spatular. When it dries some will drop off but that is ok, There should still be  plenty left on there. The stones have a lot of different coloured grains and work perfectly with these Marina Mintay Paper. STEP 4: Next  stick the little lighthouse with foam tape on the right of the photo and the yacht cut out beside the lighthouse. STEP 5: Stick all the other embellishments: Starfish, Shells and flower around the bottom of the photo. STEP 6: Stick the bottle cut outs by tucking them underneath the photo stack. STEP 7: Next i used the Distress Oxide Faded Jeans with a sponge and highlighted areas of the page, concentrating on the bottle . STEP 8: I then chose a few water colour pencils, Red, Blue Denim, black and an muted orange shades, and highlighted the embellishents. On the shells, around the photo. On the yachts and around the bird. This made them pop a little more. AND YOUR PAGE IS COMPLETE. If you have any questions feel free to ask me and i am sure i can help you. Be Safe , Be Happy and most of all Create xxxxx
