Inspirational Mini Album

I have a new found love for Lemoncraft Design Papers and Embellisments. The “Serenity” Range in Pastel Blues and Pinks is adorable and  I decided to add some shades of Black,Tim Holtz  Kitsch Flamingo Oxide Spray and Finnabair Mermaid Texture Paste,to give my project a little pizazz. The Polystyrene Circle was a great little teaser. I was not sure what to do with it, and a little scared it would break, but it was stronger than i thought.

Vendoruj

I started with the Polystyrene Circle , applying a couple of coats of White Gesso.I then traced around the circle onto a piece of the “ Serenity” Pattern Paper and cut out. Next I sprayed with Lindy’s Spray Delphinium Turquoise. I then used a spatuna and applied the Finnabair Effect Paste Mermaid, and allowed to Dry.

I tore 3 strips of the Serenity Pattern Paper and stuck to the left hand side of the circle
Then i applied the  Stamperia Crackle Paste in various places . Mix the Kitsch Flamingo Oxide Spray with Texture Paste and Apply Through the Paper Roses Stencil.

Next I made my Accordian Mini Album :

1 :Cut two pieces of Pattern Paper 4” x 8.5", join the two pieces together. Score every 4” and fold . Cut another piece of Pattern Paper 4.5” x 4” and score 1/2” on the left side . This will be your turning spine .

Stick the mini album to the circle.

Fussy cut Flowers , Leaves and Butterflies. Next Spray some white flowers withe blue and pink sprays. Paint the Dusty Attic Ornate Pendant with Black Gesso , Spray Lyndys spray and apply some  Mermaid paste, set aside to dry .

I then began my layers around the album on the left and bottom edge. Sticking some flat and some with foam mounting tape. I also added some washi tape to the folds of the mini album and on the circle

I punched a 1/2 “ circle and stuck It to The front of the album . I then stuck one of the flairs to the right side of the album. Threaded string through the hole on the front of  the album and tied off to close.

I hope I have inspired you to have a play with The Lemoncraft Pattern Papers And Embellishments. xxxxx

Bulky Card Idea

Cards , how can we give them to the recipient . Envelopes are ok , but I don’t like the look . You could make a card box ,which is lovely . But I do mine like this :

Cut and fold white card stock 8” x 6”.Then cut Prima Golden Desert Pattern Papers : 3.5” x 6" and  4.75” x 4.5”. Take a tag from the Golden Desert Die Cuts and apply Prima Gold Crackle Paste to the edges.

Adhere the Prima Mulberry Paper Flowers. Tie some Twine to the Cactus Charm, then attach to the tag .Apply the Flowers and Die Cuts. Then  Stamp your Sentiment and  adhere to the front of the card . Apply some Tim Holtz Tattered Rose Ink with a Sponge to the edges of the card .

How i wrap my card:

For the wrapping of the card . I cut a piece of White Tissue Paper  big enough to wrap my card . Next I  applied Sepia Archival Ink to the Hero Arts Bold Prints Stamp . I stamped all over the top side of the tissue paper , it looks lovely . Next stick down your embellishments, you can write the recipients name on the tag

Next I wrapped my card and added some ribbons and twine
This is a quick way to give a card with a little bit of extra love

I hope I have inspired you to try a new way to give your cards xxxx

SCOYL 1ST Project for February 2021

 The Pinnacles Desert WA

I began with a white card stock background. Used a plastic sandwich bag and dabbed it into Couture Creations Celestial Pearl Alcahol Ink  then dabbed onto the white card stock .

Next i Stamped on the page with the AALL& Create circle number stamp with Archival Sepia Ink .

I then layered some pattern papers and Die cuts to make a paper stack for my photo . I Then adhered the photo , and stuck to the page with foam mounting tape .

I then added the embellishments to finish off

Next I made a pocket page using The Golden Desert line from Prima. I decided to cut a 12" x 12" Pocket Page down to a smaller size, which i do sometimes in my albums.
I hope i have inspired you to have a play with these products, they are gorgeous.

Little Tag Book Of Inspirational Quotes

Hi Everyone A Little Creation for Scrap Of You Life Design Team Inspiration.

I have created my very first tiny tiny tiny tag book. I have never created one this small before . It was fun and easily put together. I used the wonderful new Artsy Arabia By Art By Marlene and Do Craft Mini Tag Book. My Own String from my Stash . Some Art By Marlene Quotes and Words. Art By Marlene Stencil Artsy Arabia. Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon. Art By Marlene Stamps. Book Binding tape. Pintor Paint Pens and Wink Of Stella.

I stamped the Pattern Paper Artsy Arabia with the flower stamp using Black Archival Ink. I did this on both sides of the patterned paper.  I cut the pattern paper sheet in half and worked on both sides, sticking the tags onto the pattern paper. I cut them out with my scissors. And re-punched the holes.

Distress the edges with the Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide. I cut some pieces of cardstock for the binding of the little book. I cut these the length from the straight edge on the tags. I then scored a fold down the centre of each piece. Next i adhered a tag to each side of the fold.

I did this in pairs of two. For the next step i placed adhesive on the back of one of the tags and began to join them together.
I then bound the book together with some book binding tape, or you could use washi tape ( make sure it is wide enough). Next i put my front and back tag onto the mini book.

Next i used my paint pens to fill in some of the areas on the pattern paper and stamped image. I then added my Die-Cuts and Quotes. I finished off with threading some string through the holes in the top of the tags and tied in a bow. And it is finished.

I hope you enjoy creating your own Mini Tag Book.

Happy Moments Layout for Scrap Of Your Life DT

Good Afternoon to you all. This is a 12 x 12 Layout for my Design Team Work for Scrap Of You Life for the end of October. I hope you enjoy this quick step by step tutorial. And a little added bonus.

For this layout i had very limited supplies, so i really had to put on my thinking cap. I had 1 sheet of pattern paper, and a few embellishment die cuts.

For this layout i pressed a plastic lunch bag into some Dina Wakley Turquoise Gloss Spray, then pressed around the white cardstock to create my background.

TIP: I RAN MY PAGE THROUGH MY LAMINATOR ON THE COLD SETTING, WHICH FLATTEN MY CARDSTOCK BACKGROUND: Awesome 😃

Next i applied Distress Ink: Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet over the All and Create Diamond Stencil.

Next i applied Black Archival Ink to my All and Create Bold Alphas Stamp, and stamped over the stencil, pushing the stamp into the diamond gaps on the stencil. This looked really cool when i lifted off the stencil. 👍

Next i kept the stencil on the page and ran a white marker around the inside edges of the larger diamonds.

Next i Cut around the pattern on the Vicki Boutin All Good Things Pattern Paper. I then cut this into pieces for my photo matting. I used the reverse side of one piece and applied the Turquoise Gloss Spray with a sponge.

I then adhered my photo and embellishments onto the page.

I finished off by doodling : stitching lines, wavy lines and dots with markers.

I added my title and some washi tape from All and Create from my stash.

While creating my page i added left over ink and mediums to a piece of Art Journal Paper to add to my journal.

Thank you for watching my process in creating this lovely page of my grandson.

Handsome: Steampunk Safari By Uniquely Creative.

I created this page using the New Steampunk Safari Collection by Uniquely Creative.

These papers and ephemera are absolutely gorgeous and i had heaps of fun using them. Here is a step by step tutorial if you would like to follow along and create your own Layout.

Handsome Swagger.

I began my page water colour blue paint. I then splattered and drew with the Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays in Ocean and Turquoise.

I then applied the Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn over the Uniquely Creative Leaf Stencil.

Next i cut my paper stack using the script pattern paper, then applying the Turquoise and Ocean Ink to the vellum and pattern papers. I stapled them together then stuck to the page.

I then attached my photo with thick cardboard, so i could tuck my fussy cut elements underneath the photo and pattern papers.

Next i painted the laser cut wood cogs and the metal cogs with black paint, and allowed to dry, then i applied the Prima Opal Magic Wax in, Green Brocade, Turquoise Satin, and Mystic Turquoise, by rubbing them and buffing with some paper towel. They look pretty awesome in real life.

I then placed my Ephemera, and cogs and title words onto my layout and stuck down in place when satisfied with the placement.

I then finished off with some doodling lines to frame the layout, and a little journaling underneath the photo. I hope you enjoy creating this layout and would love some feeback and pics of your creation.
